I have a Taurus electric fan controlled through a relay and a controller.its a probe type controller.my temp gauge creeps a little to high in my opinion,..a touch past the middle before it kicks on.sometimes it kicks on earlier.my clutch fan kept my shit much cooler..I ve messed with the controller to set it to come on sooner without much difference.any suggestions will be appreciated.I was wondering if an aluminum radiator might help.

Alum. radiator helps alot. The only thing I would change would be going from the probe to just a switch. Probes tend to go out without you noticing 'til it's too late.

I agree plus when its cold out you won't really even turn on the fan and on the freeway you also won't have the fan onm

Never use a manual switch to control a FAN. To many times they are ignored or forgotten and they will allow the engine to overheat. What we do is use a seperate temp sender in one of the heater hoses of a temperature of your choice and wire it in.

Bellow is a temp sender in my TC. The fans are factory set to come on @ 230* Way to high for my liking especially on a TURBO CAR. So i wired in this sender 180* and made a custom fitting so it looks factory.

Made this setup and wired it in to the IRCM. Fans now come on @ 180* every time!!!

i uses a switch just for a over ride in case if what in shown picture fails. has to be wired in just right though.

The way i have this wired it reverts back TO IRCM if the sensor goes south !!!!!

I use a temperature probe connected to a digital temp gauge, which outputs a signal to turn on my fans at any temperature I set it at, adjustable in one degree increments. The two fans come on in the low speed mode when this happens, and then turn off automatically when the temp drops a few degrees below the set temp.

I also wired a manual switch to turn the fans on high mode when I want/need extra cooling. The setup works well, but I do wish I had some sort of soft start feature.

I had the same problems as you did my tarus fan killed two fan controllers {start up amp draw was extremely high} then i swapped it out for a dual contour fan set up with a fan speed controller from flex a lite not only did it cool better it also gave me a ton of clearence for a v1 or v2 setup. pm me for part mumbers if you want

I just use a manual switch. Has Never overheated in the 5+years I've had it. I like that I have full control of when its on and forgetting it is not a problem.

I wired mine to keyed power all ways on when key is on . And of course I used a relay to wire it all up
