I've heard this is a common issue and is usually replaced with deletes. But will my car still smog with these or do I need to replace them? Any input would help. Thanks!

Technically, no...it will not smog. That being said, you can pull the butterfly plates out of the IMRC's and the computer won't know any difference. Is there something wrong with them?

I'm throwing an intermittent code for them, so I'm guessing there going bad?

ive had to clean these imrcs a lot on 96-98 cobras. they tend to stick with carbon buildup.

Seafoam, use the vaccume line to suck it up but only for a couple seconds and then let it sit in the intake for a good 10-15 min. Do a search for how to do this on SVT.com I did it on my 98 cobra and it worked great..... Be ready for a smog show....

Seafoam is always fun to do best part of changing the oil. You dont have to buy the delete plates, theres other ways my 97 motor in my gt has the epoxy method done from it when sacstangdriver owned it runs great but running a gt comptuer so no throwing codes for mine.
