so jus did a head an cam swap on my 88 gt .. starts up fine but it dies and when im driving i have no power... im sure i fucked up and left something undone but ve cheked over and over did a koer and got codes 95 41 12 ..... so iono if i was 180 off on my distributor could this happen... any help or ideas would be great thx in advance.

if you were 180* off it wouldnt start
what was your rocker procedure ?
if you did the "3 position" thats ur problem
you need to do each rocker...in sequence
thats the only right way to do it IMO

What is the timing set at? What pushrods did you use?

lol..... how did you install your rockers ? are they ped mount ?
im 99% certain thats your issue, not bein ped mount....being procedure for install

Ok so what's the right way to do them? Cause I put my heads on and just tightend them ... Guess thats wrong what do i need to do help lol.

well first off u have pedestal mounts i believe. correct? make sure you have shims with you when you do your adjustments.

Do a compression test then get back to us.

Sure. Let us know the numbers. It will show A. If u fucked anything up and B. If the valves are adjusted wrong.......

.020 is a good start......so 5/16 by 18 will have 18 threads per inch so......break that down into turns and u can figure it out pretty easy....

But urs are pedestal mount so torque them down to 25ft/lbs and measure preload on the tappet at tdc or valve events.
Shim accordingly.
I'd do a compression test first.....

I know the valves aren't adjusted right cause I didn't do it atall lol it's my first time breakin the motor down like this ... I appreciate the advice thx.

Dude!!! Do a compression test!!! All the adjustments in the world are worthless if you fucked your guts! My uncles being nice by repeating himself and still giving you what you asked for. Do the compression test!!!!!!!!
