i dont really like the no innercooler idea but am not really looking for much boost, just 6 lbs or so. has anyone used their kit? feedback? also does the blower stick up higher than the stock intake in any place? hood clearance was carefully planed when i built my car and dont have much room to spair at all.

I've seen quite a few cars run the old school kenne bells on the 96-98 cobras. They have hood clearance issues usually in the back towards the firewall. I personally wouldn't run a twin screw without a heat exchanger. I know you can't run one with the B heads, but the twin screwed chargers produce a ton of heat and take forever to cool down.

My buddy had one for a minute on his 97 Cobra. Two problems with the blower, first being it runs too hot. You really need a meth injection kit alongside with it. It's also a very small blower. A Vortech or Procharger kit would be better for this applicatin.

Not sure what IAT temps would be.. but they would be extremely hot. Honestly.. you would probably be better off with a centrifugal supercharger with an intercooler.

It runs very hot heat soaker, I have a 1.7 blower since 2002. Very low HP numbers made 402 rwhp and 427 tq on a forged moter w/ 12 psi of boost w/ a 104 race gas tune by aed. I love the way it looks but not impressed w/ power. Best et was a 11.89 at 115mph I have a very. With a non race gas tune it made 375 HP 389 tq best et was 12.45. U do have to grind the inside of the hood a little nothing noticeable from outside.

I really looked into this... Did a ton of research and then finally to top it off, test drove a cobra with the non intercooled KB on it. It was dyno tuned and ran good but to be honest it was not for me. I would be bored with that blower in a day... if that. No power and can't go over 6 psi unless you are going to use meth cooling and it will still be hot as hell.

03 Cobra... Factory long block, with Whipple and AED tune... 812rwhp 10.0s @ 140... almost there!

On my D1SC charged Mystic (96) with the 3 core cast tank fmic my air charge temps are generally 15-45 above ambient.
