Daves Machine in newark.
You will have to have that motor mount boss repaired (aacasting will do it but its in gerberville and he wants $150) or run a motor plate but that limits future blower/turbo mods etc.

Yes go to Daves Machine.
What I am sayin is that the motor mount boss pad has to be repaired. That is why I gave you the $2-400 dollar block for free.
I dont have the time to get it fixed and dont even need the block.
I spoke with Rick who owns A&C Casting and sent him some pics and he quoted me $150 to fix it.
Great deal but it is in Humboldt county I believe...gerberville or kelseyville,,,,,,,quite a drive either way but it will save you some money and his work is world renowned.

Had me all confused. Kelseyville is in the clearlake area. Humboldt is my neck of the woods and I can only think of one thing humboldt is world renowned for. @ op are you doing a stock stroke combo? I'm considering doing a Windsor up in the future with a 3.85 stroke crank I have laying around.

Your going to have issues putting a stroker kit in that block. Those early blocks have a lower deck height. Your piston will end up sticking out the whole. Just a heads up to do your research before buying your parts. If you end up sticking with a 351, I have a crank and rods to get you going.

He wont have any issues as long as he advises whoever he gets the kit from that he is using a 9.480 block. They knock 20 tho off the pistons. Some of the scat kits are taylored around the 9.480 block meaning that when you get them and put them in a 9.5 block they sit in the hole so you then have to zero deck the block to get it back up for quench.
Ive put quite a few together its no big deal.
Also I have the stock rotator out of it if you want but its nearly 11 to one as most 69 351s are.

Coast high/probe is offering free balancing on engine kits right now. Could save a few hundred bucks. Also 20% off pistons. Might be a good time to get my 347 pistons.
