Author Topic: need help clearing airbag code 12 from a 93 GT 1bdpone ¯ Member # 6708 posted                              Here's the scoop: my alternator shorted out and completely drained the battery. Now the airbag circuit is flashing code 12 = loss of power to the battery backup. According to Ford, the code can only be cleared by a specific scanner and they want $150 to clear it.
