I dont know what it could be.when im stopped. i put my car in neutral then shift to 1st, when I start going the shifter pops back out to neutral..when i stop i have to down shift it to first and keep it there. i dont know if its the tranny mount or the shifter..can you guys help?

yea he is talking about a T5 I've been in the car and when he starts to take off it just pops out pretty damn hard.

oh ok i see, is it an aftermarket shifter. if so you might need to re-adjust the the top bolt and nut. or maybe the t-5, how old is that t-5? and what rpm does it pop out at? [ November 14, 2006, 04:01 PM: Message edited by: 93mustang50 ]

Thought so... in that case I'd check the flux capacitor.
As you can tell, I don't know a damn thing about tranny's. I was just trying to help diagnose by making sure his question was understood.

ya its a stock t-5 shifter..but im about to get the steeda triax shifter..so hopefully when I install the new one it will fix the problem..or else i gotta keep on trying to fix it..I dont know how old the tranny is..i bought the car with 72k..but who knows how old the tranny is...it pops out right when I get going..right when I take the clutch out
