thermostat in upside down..
How are the radiator hoses, they could be collapsing when they heat up?
Just trying to throw some ideas out there

I would personally check the fan "Clutch". I had the same problem, before I owned Apex, with my car... Ran fine when it was on the freeway BUT once it got into stop and go traffic it overheated. We changed EVERYTHING.. thermostat, New Fluidyne Radiator, .. nothing helped until the fan clutch was replaced.

It's possible his fan is not generating enough RPMs to produce sufficient air flow.

turn the knob all the way to the left and then trn it back to the right just a little like 1/8 turn and that should cure the fan not turning on

is the fan running while the car is up to temp?
if not, just install a switch and bypass the temp sensor, so you can make it run when you want to.

so does the fan turn on at all? if you want to make sure that it turns on at all, the thermo probe that you stick in to the radiator, has to wires that go into it, touch those to wires together and the fan should start, if it doesnt, check the fuses, and the wireing

You should check to make sure fan is wired correctly and is pulling air thru the radiator instead of pushing.

Does the fan you bought flow enough? Does it pull enough cfm's through for your application? Basically is it meant for a 5.0 or is it a universal one you get from kragens? Also does it pull or push? It should pull but if you reversed the wiring it will push air to the front of the car instead of pulling air through the radiator. Also warm it up and compare the heater hose temps, if one is significantlly cooler than the other your heater core could be clogged. If thats the case by-pass it and see if it still runs hot.

Is there a temp guage on the car, or are you using the stock guage? If you've replaced all that and it still gets hot, then something else is wrong, like a blown head gasket. What exactly does it do when it overheats? Dennis

well the fan is pushing air i cant remember how much cfm it pushes i did have it pulling air for a wgile but it got to hot I went ahead and reversed it to pushing air and it was cooling good for about 4 months. im gonna go check the heater hoses right now ill post back about results in a bit thanks man. it also has the stock temp gauge. when im driving the car it seems the temperature seems to go up when the car is under load not so much as when im sitting at a red light

A pic would help. Is the fan installed in front of the radiator or the back? Is it in the engine bay? Does it have a shroud?

Head gasket problem, you would see milky oil(check dipstick) you would see white steam/"smoke" coming out of tailpipes and you could usually smell it if you get next to tailpipes.

if the fan is behind the radiator on the engine side it needs to be pulling air through the radiator towards the engine.
does the fan run constantly while the car is running?
When the temp control relay died on my black magic fan the fan would click on, then off after 5 seconds, then trip on again later, but it wouldn't stay running and the car would overheat.
my solution was to wire a switch to the fan to bypass the temp sensor, so I just switched the fan on when it was up to temp and turned it off if it was running too cold (like on freeway).
