on a 97GT..where is the hole at? i cant find it for the new tube!

In the block, just above the oil pan....just rear of the motor mount. Goodluck getting it in, it can be a PITA.

nobody knows how to route the dipstick tube? i have a 97GT and i needed the 99+ dipstick tube because of the swap...how do i route the newer tube?

dude this fuckin tube doesnt wanna route in right. its fuckin wierd! its pissin me off!!! how should i route it? sal do you have a mustang book that tells you anything about routing or putting on the tube?

You did not need a different dipstick. the bottom 4.6 is the same. the heads are the same. only thing that was differnt was the runners and cams on the heads.
The way to get the dipstick in is with alot of paitence and some imagenation.. it will get in.. just gotta rotate the damn thang..lol.. good luck.

It runs behind the header primaries (between the #6 & 7 cylinders) & through the motor mount. It's a real bitch to get in without removing the motor mount. But it can be done. & no, you did not have to remove the dipstick.

I hope your not runing the car with out a plug in the dipstick hole
the car will catch fire on you if the hole is not plugged
