How you are on your 2-3 shift really effects your mph. How you are on your 2-3 shift really effects your mph. It doesn't matter if the 60fts are the same as yours. He ran faster because he is shifting his gears faster then you and he might be shifting at a different RPM also. With our cars you have to shift them between redline and 6k to take full advantage of the curve. When you shift at redline it will drop you back into your peak torque.
