Will a 99GT bassani x-pipe fit my 98 cobra? I know the fittings are the same but how about the tranny mount etc.
Also Don't 98 cobras have 99+ muffler hanging mounts?

Nope the 99GT has a totally different tranny mount than a 98 cobra does. 99GT's the exhaust doesn't mount to the tranny area where as the 98's do. You might be able to make it work with a little effort though. Also in the rear the tail pipes hang differently. 99 GT's mount on a rubber mount right below the rear valance where 98 cobras mount like an old fox body mustang.

Now I was told the (98) is different than the 96-97 cobras in the fact that the exhaust hangers are the 99 style. Also the flange on the passenger side is the same as the 99gt's right?

it wont fit easily, but you can "make" it fit. but unless your getting a really good deal then i would skip it ![[Wink]](wink.gif)
