I think I'm going to be getting a new clutch in the near future and was wondering what you folks recommend.
The car has the standard TFS h/c/i stuff so its not putting down unGodly amounts of horsepower, but it should be around 290 to the rear wheels untuned, I'd say.

A "clutch recommendation" post comes about around once a week....
Like I've said before, I went thorough 2 Centerforce clutches and they suck!...I had nothing but bad experiences with Centerforce...The Counter balance weights on the outside of the Centerforce pressure plates are loud and rattle and basically dont do shit... My FMS king Cobra was WAY better than the Centerforce and the SPEC stage II was the best clutch I've ever had....
Go with a SPEC clutch, you wont be disapointed...

Well the spec stage three clutch and the centerforce dual friction are about the same amount of money.
I don't know which one to go with.

Ok guys it looks like I am going to go ahead and get a Spec Stage 3 Clutch. Where is the cheapest and best place to order one from?

If I planned on adding a blower sometime down the road, do you think I'd still be ok with the SPEC Stage II or should I just pop for the Stage III?

the spec III is livable in my car on the street, probably just depends on your tolerance for a grabby clutch. I'm glad it's there when I need it (e.g. N20 launch on a 10" slick)

What problems do you have?
When I first had it installed by Drew, it drove pretty good, until the clutch quadrant part which is plastic stock ate shit....which is no biggy...So I had it replaced with a BBK Adjustable Clutch Quadrant kit with Firewall Adjuster. After the 500 miles of chatter (to be expected) the clutch pedal feels very nice for the first 10 minutes or so driving, but once it warms up it gets really loose...I can also really hear my throwout bearing which came new with the clutch. Drew says its hit and miss with Spec...and I guess mine was a miss. After I have all the parts I got installed I'm going to see how it holds up, and if it craps out, I'm still going to go with the Stage III and hope it works out better because I really like how the clutch performs when it is working properly...just havent had much luck so far and we cant figure out why.
