i have oil on the bottom of my pan with dirt that it picks up. does anyone have tips on changing it. or does anyone have a site that tells the steps in doing it? thanks for any help.

If you're talking about changing the front crankshaft seal, changing it is easiest with the timing cover removed as the seal is pressed into the timing cover. Removing the timing cover will involve removing the water pump and the crankshaft damper also (as well as the front accessories). Purchase a timing cover gasket kit as it will contain gaskets for everything removed (water pump, timing cover) as well as a front crankshaft seal.
