I've heard of too many failing prematurely and have even witnessed one blow on its first pass. Other than that, the rest of the people who have them, seem to like them.[ April 01, 2002: Message edited by: st5150 ]

Knew I should have SPEC'd it. Wonder if Summit will return it after a couple months?? Shit.

You shouldn't have a problem if its unopenned and still in the box. Summit is good about that stuff. Shade-tree knows a thing or two about getting summit to take back stuff.

I have heard both good and bad stories. Did you honestly go through the recommended break-in that comes with the instructions? It says plain as day on the orange sheets, 500 mile break in period.

I have used the center force clutch in everything I have ever put together. The only problem I ever had was when making above 500+ hp to the rear wheels the clutch would slip. I had center force up grade the material on the clutch disc and never had another problem. I also know they are not the best for high rpm usage. I only spun mine to 6000 rpm so it was fine.

Ya! My dumbass did have Holmes install it only to need a flywheel! LOL! All good, I will break her in appropriately when the rear and shit come together. It'll be cool.

I have run Centerforce, Ram, and McLeod and by farrrrrrr the McLeod is the best. That is my opinion anyway.

I've been driving on my CF dual friction for over a year now and I can't even tell any wear on it. It never slips and I've never had ANY problems with it. Yet, i've also heard great things about McLeod. Also heard good stuff about SPEC.
