Maybe 375 wheel. More realistic numbers would be 330-350 rwhp 370-385 rwtq

Ditch the E for a F cam, you'll see big gains.

Unfortunately, they are only that...suggestions. For a cheap, OTS cam, I'd run a F. If you're concerned about smog, run a TFS 1 cam. It'll pass no problem.

My opinion is they are, and have been, knock-offs of other cam profiles out there. All the B series cams (Forced Induction) are nearly identical to a comparable Comp cam. Pick up a good used cam and have fun.

or just spec out a custom cam from AED. Shit back in 2001 my boy Aaron layed down 337 RWHP at 6000RPM on a 157k mile stock short block with a custom cam. Thing should be able to hit 400rwhp with a good cam.

As usual listen to John . F cam is a good blower cam, sure You can get better #'s out of a custom but if You can pick one up for around 100-130 buck's it will serve You well. My coupe has a 306 with AFR 185's, f cam, systemax intake, and s trim with around 12 #'s of boost and it has a non lockup covert with a pretty big stall so dyno #'s were never good but it has ran 128 mph with a conservative 3300 race weight the horsepower calculator put just over 600 fwhp, not too bad for a ittle f cam. I know there is probably anothe 20-30 hp on the table with a custom but I am already in block splitting teritory so Why spend the extra dough? You should be in the same range as Me so You won't need to extract every last bit of power unless You want to push the envelope of the stock block??

With your boost levels you should be in the 380-390's with a conservitave tune but I'm sure you can reap more power from a cam change (Comp Cams nx282)+ meth injection& 3inch exhaust and you can easily touch over 450-500's on ur combo....

That's cool & everything but there's only so much a poor lil stock shortblock can take....anything over 500 is pushin ur limits on a stock shortblock and it's only a matter of time b4 it throws a rod or spins a bearing....

True but alot depends on diriving style and rpm limit. I don't put alot of miles on the car "probably only 12,000 in the last 5 year's"and I just cruise to the strip & keep it under 6500 rpm "which is on a limiter" take care of buisness and cruise home. If You are going to drive it like You stole it then thing's won't work out well for You wheather You are pushing 400 or 600 HP. The beauty of these engines is that they are cheap "as long as You don't take out a head or something when they let go". Maybe when this one goes I will be in a position to drop the coin for a dart block?

@Nifty50 thanks for all the info
Nope bought this engine off of Eric "66ACcobra" here on the board. He bought the cobra off the guy "who said the engine was stock but built by an experienced engine builder that knew how to put a good engine together" and He got the car and drove it the 1st time and blew a head gasket and then went a different way with the setup. This is the info I was given "to the best of My memorie 5 year's ago" but if it was anything special I'm sure He would have charged Me more than $500 for it.
