Imagine that!...wants more hp. With the following mods and Jeff's SCT tune, I make 505/488 to the wheels. I want to get to 550-600 w/0 N2O or KB(jeff ), and then I still will want to run a shot on top of it. Askin' alot I know but I know you guys can handle it : What's next at a reasonable or unreasonable price? Thanx.

What about a 2 or 4lb lower?
...at that point i would think about maybe some cooling mods if you don't plan to run the "juice"
....but i know you are so that set-up should be strong

I would think you are pretty much maxed out. You could do longtubes, port the stock heads, or maybe also do a lower pulley. But you wll not see 600 hp with those mods.

Okay. Quite the list. I figured I was pretty maxed out as far as bolt ons. What if I ported the heads, put some shorties on(plan to do that anyway), lower pullies(are they worth it?), cam(worth it?),and a heat exchanger, what kind of numbers could I be roughly lookin' at? And what would all that cost? Thanx a million, boys.

Look into the AFCO heat exchanger for the 03-04 cobra. It should help quite a bit. AFCO Heat Exchanger

Yeah, how come you want to stay away from the KB? you could probably make well over 600 with it.

If you want 550-600rwhp without nitrous and keeping the Eaton you will have to get cams and add more boost and maybe some Longtubes. Cams will probably run you 2k installed. It would be much more cost effective to just slap the KB on and sell your ported Eaton.

Is the blower Plenum ported or stock? If not I'd swap that bbk tb in the trash, go with the Accufab Oval Big Bore, and Accufab Ported Plenum. Also try dynoing the car with an H pipe, I bet you would pick up a few there. You are moving enough exhuast where an X can start to be a restriction. Look at these Rick. I dont think they'll get you all the way to 600, but they look like a good base for a lot more airflow ported heads

I agree w/ Jeff in that you would still need a few more bolt-ons but would be pushing the combo so hard that a simple KB/Whipple swap... and you have the power and a much lower threshold for problems in my mind.
I beliveve you can 13 psi w/ the stock injectors but i know you have the BAP already
Also i would rather not delve in the the motor to swap 4 cams but that's just me.

Ya unfortunately LT's i believe take about 6+ hours for install and that's probably a generous time and as for the cams i've never done them and i'm sure it's plenty feasible but just the cost of 4 cams
So right there that's close to 2-3 K if you pay for install when all the while you can do a 1.5 hr blower swap and stay smog legal and if yu decide to sell it's easier to put back to stock

yea, they lt's go in a lot easier when you've already got the motor out

Ok, I'll have to contemplate this one. Sounds as though a blower swap might be the ticket. Lemme ask ya this, all. I like my N02, N20 likes compression, right? If I went with the heads and made higher compression, would the blower/N20 combo work? I'm at about 13-14 psi on my blowr now. From what I understand blowers don't like compression, so maybe the blower swap(which I really don't wanna do if I can help it)would be better? I want 550 without the N20 and close to 700 with. Not too much to ask right [ April 04, 2005, 02:51 PM: Message edited by: RixSikCobra ]

check out the X2C car. They did an article on it recently. By going from 9psi, is made over 550, to 16psi at over 700 rwhp. Sounds like that the way to go. You got the bottom end to handle it.
