436" 15 degree SBC built by Rick Santos of S&S Automotive, known for winning five (5) consecutive world championships in the Top Alcohol Dragster category from 1997-2001. The motor is topped with a two (2) direct port systems by Steve Johnson/Induction-Solutions, a combination that allowed us to rank 2nd in WCHRA's Drag Radial class last season. It has run a best of 5.13 @ 139MPH in the 1/8 mile and a 8.02 @ 170 in the quarter mile in a 2840# stock suspension fox body Mustang.
This motor features the following:
TOP END
- Brodix -12 CNC ported 58 CC heads with copper head gaskets
- Flow 363 intake, 237 exhaust at .800 (full flow bench results available)
- 2.150 Manley intake valves, 1.625 Manley exhaust valves
- Manley springs, 350# seat pressure at 2.100"
Brodix 1201 dominator intake manifold with Felpro 1209 gasket trimmed to match(2) Induction-Solutions direct port nitrous sytems (1 90*, 1 annular)Pro Systems Nitrous IV 1100 CFM carburetor (full build sheet available) BOTTOM END
- Little M Dart 400 block
- Eagle 4" 4340 crank
- Crower billet 5.85" rods with Crower 7/16 rod bolts
- Ross 13.5: 1 custom dome top gas ported pistons with 3 spares (full technical data sheet available)
- Cam: Comp 284/296 duration @ .050, .820/.795 lift, 114.3 lobe separation
- Lifters: Isky Red Zone tall lifters
- Jesel shaft rockers
- Jesel belt drive
- ATI SFI 18.1 balancer

The motor is built to handle up to a 34 nitrous jet in both kits.

He'll be VERY happy if the concept motor/power adder I'm thinking of ends up becoming a reality
