That 8.77 pass was not on stock suspension. My car was backhalfed (much more stable and safe now) summer of 2004. My most recent 60fts have been in the 1.25-26 range. Best with the modified stock stuff was 1.30 and scary down the track. The reason for the backhalf was it got to the point where every pass was uncomfortable and half the time I had to lift. The car was driving me instead of the other way around. To go faster safely, something had to be done. I plan on racing the car a lot more next year. Expecting low 8's. Anybody know how to pack a chute?

BTW congrats to everyone in the 8 sec range. If it were easy, everybody would be doing it.

Congrats yerself for being the first one on the site to do it....good job.
Low 8s will be awesome. Is your car running now? Would you be interested in running a couple stock suspenion cars in January?
Packing a chute is easy...don't ask Norm. He has pulled it hundreds of times but only packed it for the first time himself 2 weeks ago...hahahahaha

Greg, you were also involved in packing the chute. If it doesn't deploy the next time, it's on you.

Don't think I can race in January. To many other things going on--(family vacation is big one). Let me know what date/s. Crank is out of motor and being fixed now.
