I was there last night runnin' my 93. The new clutch was everything RAM said it'd be, unfortunately my head gasket wasn't up to the task. I was a full second off my best.

how much will the 60' drop with new tires, is a 1.40 gonna happen with some good air and a good track
that car is really gonna move outta the hole on the juice
i have run a 1.49 on motor with a smaller converter so a low 1.4 is doable. also will probably switch to a 3.50 gear
is the juice at full tilt yet, or were the small jets in today
i think there is alot more left in the car, the only thing that is gonna hold the et back is your rear suspenion, if i remember what u have back there
next question is when are u gonna race the mullet ride
Matt wasn't there. Probably a good thing, he's gone a little faster.

Sorry to hear that John.
We know it wont take you long to fix that head gasket tho Hell, I'd much rather have to change a head gasket than find an electrical problem, (which is what I'm having to do with my car ).
Did you end up getting the RAM 900?

BlkPina, that was me and my girl, and I parked my Lightning outside, but I was kinda disappointed with the silver Lightning that ran a best of like 13.9.... I will be testing my new setup on either the 11th or 18th of september and hope to see more cafords members out there... But it seems that the sac raceway has turned into a family place (A lot of kids and families there)...it was a good time though... Some nice mustangs out there!!!

does anyone own a green 5.0 gt that raced a white lx or a newer white gt that raced my friend's blue 02 firehawk at the track last night? if so, i caught you guys on my digi cam and i can send you your vids. [ August 30, 2004, 12:57 AM: Message edited by: BlkPina ]

i need to know what i'm up against when you try to tie up the season series
First run. 7:45 and about 85+ degrees. Ran 10.38 @ 131.785 all motor. decent 60' of 1.53. not my best but the tires are bald.
Second run. Did he just purge? First bottle pass ever on this motor, hit it a couple hundred feet out. 9.856 @ 141.43 with an even worse 1.62 60'. And i was occupying the entire lane for anyone that saw me. that was almost 9:00. still warm
Last run. Bottle still on. hit it about 80-100 feet out. 1.55 60' and a 9.69 @ 143.88 going pretty straight. ran out of gear at about the 1000' but stayed in it. that was at 10:00.
when i left the track at 11, it was still 83 degrees out so i think the car will go faster, especially if i hit it out of the hole. but with those tires i didn't want to chance it.
Well holy shit...good job man. Congrutulations on getting two good nines out of it the first time out on the jug. Now get back out there and start running some low nines

I did not run very well with my cobra I think I need alot more practice with my launches and shifting this car. My best was a 13.6 at 104 with a 2.4 60ft I kept either giving it too much throttle =wheel hop or too little throttle=bogging off the line. I was the slowest 03-04 cobra their But their is always next time.

Hey man!
You only lost to a truck because I got you at the tree. Your ET was 1 10th better than my best for the night so no matter what you are still faster
Hope to see you out there again sometime.

Drew- ya, I got the 900. It is WELL worth it. No crazy pedal pressure either! About the same as an FMS heavy-duty.
The white Coupe? Had a Novi 2000 w/ 16lbs!

Supposedly it's the original 120,000+ mile 302 shortblock. O-ring'd edelbrock heads, crane 2030 cam. RPM intake. 50 shot to cool the intake charge. Thats it.

Thats cool John. I really Like that clutch when I had it even though it is not an extremely popular clutch. As a matter of fact, I may be ditching my twin disc clutch to go back to the RAM 900, but we'll see.

If its the car that I seen and talked to the guy, yeah it is like a 306 or 302 all ARP hardwear I think. Runs a cog on his Novi and yeah that thing is crazy on the launch, talk to the guy next time you see him. He is a really nice guy and will share anything about his car to you.
