This is the biggest one I've tried so far. Done a couple smaller ones and they came out great. Got a Traeger too?

traeggers are for your basic standard lazy american, but work good. As for me I will only smoke with good old almond wood. But dam you are stuck baby sitting whatever your smoking

Looks damn good!
Skipped the traeger and got a wifi green mountain grill Daniel Boone. No more baby sitting or waking up every 2 hours for overnight cooks.

That sounds cool, you have to keep checking to make sure the pellets keep feeding in the hopper. Wifi does it alert you or something if the temp drops too fast?
There's a wifi Traeger that's 1600, too much for me

I don't. I treat it like an oven. The hopper has an low pellet alarm and depending on wind and temp a full hopper (15lbs) will last 12-15 hours at 250*.
The grill is wifi and GMG has an app that allows you to set profiles to turn grill up at set meat temps or turn grill off at set meat temp automatically. You can also just use the app to monitor grill temp and meat temp and turn up or turn down heat with your smartphone or tablet.
Pretty dummy proof. Used it yesterday to cook a roast chicken and russet potatoes. Used half its pellets for a 2 hour cook at 375*.

I second the BBQ Thread! don't have a smoker just 2 weber's 22' AND 26',
Has anyone ever done a brisket on a kettle before interested in trying that out any tips?

I might order up the Joetisserie for my Kamado Joe classic grill. Has anyone used or own soapstone as a cooking surface? I like the idea of easy cleaning and I've heard it gets damn near as hot as cast iron if you turn the heat up.

Joetisserie looks cool, wonder if they have something similar for the Traeger? Soapstone is that the stone they use for quick pizza cooking?

I have a electric smoker, set it at 220 and let it do its thing. Stood it up in the smoker with a rockstar can which had butter in it. [ 2017-12-12, 10:31 AM: Message edited by: 68dustin ]
