For those transactions it was done at the bank because they were financing. When I sold my 07 ZX6R I preferred cash but the buyer had to finance and I took myself and the bike to them for an extra 100 on the sell price. You can do a cashiers check from them as long as it clears when you go to the bank to do the transaction. They can tell you right then and there if its good. You can also do a bank to bank wire transfer from their account to yours. There is a clearing process time. It's higher than a dealer will offer in my experience, but not by much.
