Hey guys,
Some piece of shit scumbags stole my 2005 Ford F250 right from in front of my house in the East Bay. I put it up for sale just to test the waters and they must have located it through the zip code ping on the map. They saw the pics and description of my mods and found and took it 2 nights ago. It was a 2005 F250 6.0 Diesel crew cab shortbed with a 10" Lift brand new 38" tires and brand new 20" Black Fuel Hostage wheels and a ton of other mods. It was a black/tan two tone Lariat with only 30k miles. It was a weekend toy. Any help on tracking it down or even the parts at this point would be greatly appreciated. The cops are on it but I figure any additional help can go a long way. This is a horrible feeling and I really hope to get to the bottom of this and these bastards get what they deserved. All my hard earned money, work, memory, blood, sweat and tears put into just so that some lowlifes can take it all away just like that. I posted this up just because i have seen other victims of stolen vehicles and have seen miracles happen of finding the cars.

Damn hope you get your truck back. Why did it take you two days to post that it was stolen on here? I mean we could have probably driven past it.

Bro, I guess you can call it shock and disbelief. I also didn't realize that there have been other guys on here who fell victim in a possible similar way. I am just all messed up with this feeling and I've been dealing with filling out forms and talking to insurance. I have not had time to really sit down and think about what happened.

I didn't put my address. Only the zip code, because it was required, and it pinged on the map a few blocks away. I didn't know better since I have sold cars on CL before without issues. But I come to find out F250s are #1 stolen cars in the country [ 2014-06-27, 12:26 PM: Message edited by: Fordpowered ]

Yea so I have learned. I don't know why CL even requires that. They should hold some responsibility for these things

All too common, sadly. Somebody wants to sell their car, bike, or truck and the scum bags come out after seeing it on Craigslist. You have to be really careful these days and assume that anything on sale for Craigslist is just a shopping list for the thieves to pick and choose what they want(especially modded vehicles). Same goes for people posting their "SN95 pictures...or their Terminator pictures..whatever..more exposure on your valued car and you make it a target. Just concentrate on not being a target is my best advice.

You can choose not to ad the map to your post. I know this doesnt make any difference/help getting your tuck back. Just info for if you post anything in the future.

I'm exaggerating here, but sometimes it seems you can't own anything nice in the Bay Area anymore...
Any updates? If you don't mind me asking, what area was it stolen from? I'll keep an eye out.

Since California holds 9 of the 10 top spots for auto theft in the country I don't like our odds.
