a better solution would be to designate a section for kids to eat at a restaurant with their parents...similar to a smoking section. kinda wrong to ban them all together during peak hours.

As a parent I know that my kids are not ready for fancy restaurants why cause there not kid friendly but thats me as a parent. Now do I agree on banning kids from restaurants and I say no. Banned the retards parents that cant handle their kids.

Banning kids is ridiculous! I have two young kids who we take everywhere with us. I understand bars and places where only adults should be, but restaurants? Thats a freakin joke that won't fly in my book!
If you can't stand kids then you have some personal issues that need to be dealt with...

I get where this is coming from because I had the same frame of mind when I didn't have kids. Now that I have kids this is a pretty lame excuse and like turbo said you need to have your kids in order if your going to be taking them out somewhere.

I found that the best way to avoid screaming kids is to avoid cheap chain restaurants. Go to more expensive places and parents won't spend the money on the rug rats. And if there is a "kids menu", run.

It's not discrimination. The business is marketing to a specific group. They actually limit their potential income by reducing the amount of customers available. Customers = $$$ and if they chose to only chase a small portion of the money,let them do it.
