I believe the 95 is a hair faster and easier to mod. they're both equally reliable.

95 > 96. 95 still is a 302. making it stupid easy and cheap to mod. 96 is the worst 4.6 ever made. 215hp and 3tq.

The only thing i would do with a 96-98 is use it for a daily driver/cruiser. If you want a 4.6, Get a 1999+ GT and slap a blower on it.

I actually went from a 96 to a 95 and its great having a easier motor, older technology, and more torque. But the 4.6 sounded good with exhaust. And also that pats system let me go to the mall or anywhere without worring about it every 10 min. [ 2013-06-25, 12:20 PM: Message edited by: SLOW95GTS ]

Throw a pi swap (99-04 Heads) on the the 96 and it will smoke that 95. But stock the 95 will be a little faster.

What about if the 95 had heads also?

If the 95 had full bolt ons it would leave a pi swap GT behind I believe.

95 wins if you can keep it from pinging at WOT.
Worst pining cars in automotive history.
