I don't know why anyone would pay that much for a fake GT-500. I don't care if it is the car from the movie. I'd rather have a 1 of 5 rare optioned original Shelby's then this. If I was gonna blow a million dollars on an iconic car I'd want to own the real Bullet car. That's more worthy of this kind of price tag IMHO.

1 Million bucks is a whole lotta money, I agree. If I paid that much, the car better come with Nicolas Cage.
I'd rather get an Enzo and have enough money to get a couple real shelbys.

I have a love/hate relationship with that car. It is beautiful, but before this movie had come out I had sold my 65 for my 67, and was looking for a 67 fastback and it felt like the prices went ape-shit overnight. The one I was looking at the guy offered to sell it to me 3 months earlier for 6, he was local and said he was in no hurry, being just out of high school it took a bit to save up the funds, when I was ready he wanted 15.

What make you guys think this guy doesn't have a shit load of rare cars in his 20,000sqf garage?? I'm sure this is not the first and only fastback mustang he has in his collection I'm sure he owns at least a couple original ones... It might be a gt500 replica, But it is the original Eleanor driven by Nicolas cage.. This guy is the only one in the world to say he owns the original Eleanor the car that every mustang lover wanted to have in there garage when the movie came out, lets be realistic people, if you would be wealthy like this guy you guys would buy stupid shit too, I kno I would,... That's the ONLY time it would be reasonable to pay that for that car.

He was being sarcastic.
Someone should really come up with an official sarcasm font for the Internet. That way there's no confusion on when someone is serious or trying to be funny.
I thought the nick cage comment was funny btw.

Mmm Mmm nigga less cage Mmm, I like how you think bruh. For a mil, why not get nick cage with it? I hear he's broke plus how cool would it be when you showed off your Eleanor that it also came with the real nick cage!!! The only drawback is that you'd probably have to house him in the mansion somewhere but f it, it's totally worth it then.

1 million for a car!? Even if I was a billionaire I would still never buy a car for a million dollars! Not like you can drive it N keep it that mint it would most likely stay in a garage hidden which is NOT worth it at all to me.

No one here can say what they would or wouldn't do. Your decisions change when you have millions of expendable dollars

Its not 1/1. They made 9 or 11 replicas for the Movie. Number 9 sold last year for way less.

Actually for the movie they had 3 Eleanor's. Two of them were wrecked and crushed this is the only survivor. This is also the car that did all the close up shots in the movie and went on the promotional tour. So its very unique. The classic car market is heating back up so I'm not surprised it went for this dollar amount.
