Went to dinner last night with my wife and my card was declined..... Checked my checking balance this today and it's down to 89.xx
Now I have to wait until tomorrow ( Monday ) to go down to my bank and get this all taken care of. I fucking hate having this kind of shit happen. This will be the second time I've had to change my card number.
I think I'm going to stick to paying cash as much as possible from now on.

Do you use your card at gas stations? I had my info stolen because someone put an extra card reader thing in a gas pump. My bank told me to never put my PIN number at the pump, use it as credit or go inside. The people that stole my info actually made a card and withdrew money from an ATM, was a shit show to get my money back!

^ Yeah but I usually hit the credit button and punch in my zip code. Luckily I'm with a credit union and have been a long time member. The last time this happend they put the money back into my account right away.

I remember seeing a report on this also. Thieves have a device that doesn't even have to touch you or the card, they simply just run it over your wallet/purse and boom. They now have your info.

Thats why i use credit to pay for everything. As long as you know how to mamge money its great. Your protected by visa or whatever other company and since its a line of credit your bank account wont get wiped out. There's a lot of theifs using credit card skimmers so i wouldnt use the debit card to pay for anything. It sucks but thats the time we live in.

I work for the card fraud department of a well known local bank.
The only way to be safe is to not have a card. But banks are quick to give the money back for unauthorized transactions. The thing that holds the money from being put back are customers that are lazy and lag on doing their part on returning documents.
