What is the worst job you've had in the past or currently have that you would not recommend for others? & why?
I'll start it off, when I was 15 y/o advertising for a car dealership on the side of the road dressed up in a costume. [ July 18, 2012, 02:30 PM: Message edited by: 1FAST93NOTCH ]

My dad has been a roofer for 30+ years and i started working for him when i was 13. There's nothing worse then doing complete tear offs in the middle of summer on a roof when you have a fear of heights!

I did that for FedEx. Luckily it was a 26 foot bobtail truck. It wasn't so much the job I disliked as it was the hours. Had to be there at 3-4am(depended on the week) and only worked 3-4 hours. Shit was whack.

Large scrap recycling. Worked in a warehouse unloading thousands of pounds of multiple tv's a day breaking them down without them exploding sending shards of glass through your body. Then when I got noticed that I could do just about anything I became in charge of all the large shit. We had 4 bins all with different purposes. I had to sledge hammer off motors to appliances throw those in the bin then load up dishwashers refrigerators safes and everything into the bin too. After that I had to climb in the bin and ARRANGE and ORGANIZE that bin by throwing fridges and dryers from one bin to another then back into the proper pin. Then the roll off truck comes an I had to tarp the pin strap it down load it on the truck send the driver on his way. Then go back inside and breakdown tv's computers and microwaves. Oh yea and I did all this every day 7 days a week 7-5 and fully clothed with a jump suit on top of that. Oh yea and I got payed 8 an hour until they let me go and a couple other guys off an gave everyone else a raise we all been bitching about!!

safeway night crew assistant manager, workin nights fucked my life up, ontop of that i moved up from cashier to asst mgr in six months, i had twenty year vets workin for me, then we got a new boss that had been with the company for 40 years, me and him did not get along, he gave me minimal help and if i was lucky the nights that i managed by myself i would get 1 person who knew how to throw frieght and two other new hires it was fucked, frustrating, and stressfull. i finally had it one night, huge order commin in and he pulled me in the office and started to lay into me about havin everything done or else, i said save it fuck off knocked some shit off his desk and bounced!

I worked at a telecom install company and we won a contract to upgrade the waste water treatment facility in Oakland. We used to call it the shit factory. The passageways between buildings had pipes that would transport the shit water from building to building. Sometimes they would burst and spray shit and piss water everywhere. They would fix the pipe and clean up most of the spill but there'd still shit everywhere. We'd have to install new cabling and rigid conduit in those passageways. One time there was a big storm and everything backed up and flooded out our job trailer. That job sucked really bad.

I worked for Taco Bell a couple years ago, They made me go outside and scrape gum off the concrete in the middle of 100 degree days in summer as a daily task. Easily the most degrading job i've ever had.
