What is the worst job you've had in the past or currently have that you would not recommend for others? & why?

I'll start it off, when I was 15 y/o advertising for a car dealership on the side of the road dressed up in a costume.

When I was 16...baja fresh, hired as cashier.

shift manager noticed I was the token white boy on staff, so put me on the salad bar/bathroom cleanup/cleaning tables.

I quit after 2 weeks.

food service takes a special kind of person to be able to make it, lol.

My dad has been a roofer for 30+ years and i started working for him when i was 13. There's nothing worse then doing complete tear offs in the middle of summer on a roof when you have a fear of heights!

I did that for FedEx. Luckily it was a 26 foot bobtail truck. It wasn't so much the job I disliked as it was the hours. Had to be there at 3-4am(depended on the week) and only worked 3-4 hours. Shit was whack.

Large scrap recycling. Worked in a warehouse unloading thousands of pounds of multiple tv's a day breaking them down without them exploding sending shards of glass through your body. Then when I got noticed that I could do just about anything I became in charge of all the large shit. We had 4 bins all with different purposes. I had to sledge hammer off motors to appliances throw those in the bin then load up dishwashers refrigerators safes and everything into the bin too. After that I had to climb in the bin and ARRANGE and ORGANIZE that bin by throwing fridges and dryers from one bin to another then back into the proper pin.
Then the roll off truck comes an I had to tarp the pin strap it down load it on the truck send the driver on his way. Then go back inside and breakdown tv's computers and microwaves. Oh yea and I did all this every day 7 days a week 7-5 and fully clothed with a jump suit on top of that. Oh yea and I got payed 8 an hour until they let me go and a couple other guys off an gave everyone else a raise we all been bitching about!!

I work for waste management in oakland...i dont mind we get really good pay/benefits/pension so i dont mind. Started in the garbage industry since i turned 21.

People always ask me how can i work picking up garbage, i simply tell them how much i make hourly and their response is always "they hiring"

I would have to say plumbing. Good money but some days sucked when you had idiots flushing the toilet when you specifically told them NOT TO!

I worked at a telecom install company and we won a contract to upgrade the waste water treatment facility in Oakland. We used to call it the shit factory. The passageways between buildings had pipes that would transport the shit water from building to building. Sometimes they would burst and spray shit and piss water everywhere. They would fix the pipe and clean up most of the spill but there'd still shit everywhere. We'd have to install new cabling and rigid conduit in those passageways. One time there was a big storm and everything backed up and flooded out our job trailer. That job sucked really bad.

I worked for Taco Bell a couple years ago, They made me go outside and scrape gum off the concrete in the middle of 100 degree days in summer as a daily task. Easily the most degrading job i've ever had.
