So I took my car to get state reffed today and failed the noise test cause I hit 98 db not only that he failed my smog cuz of my fucking gauges how stupid is that bullshit I passed emission but failed visual cuz of gauges gauges aren't fucking illegal this is straight bullshit fuck state refs and fuck chp

Thats what I'm gonna do imma go to court show the judge it passed emission for the ticket for smog device and just pay the modified exhaust tint and unlawful operation

ya i have oil temp a/f wideband and a boost guage thats pointless its stupid
my citation includes the following
24004 v.c. unlawful operation
26708 v.c. (a)(1) tint
27151 v.c. (a) exhaust modified
27156 v.c. (f) smog device
and the fucking chp had the nerve to make them all non correctable
from what i hear these are all points on the record is that true

you can go to another ref, pretty much any community college with an automotive degree does them.
I know there's one in san bruno and one in fremont, as I went to both about 8 years ago.
(or you could just unplug your gauges, go to the ref, get it signed off, and be done with it the easy way).

Had a state ref at Evergreen about 4 years back. Only mod was the fuel pressure gauge. The guy hassled me saying that it could be a regulator, I asked him to find me a set screw on the sensor that allows me to adjust pressure. He took a look, couldn't find anything then it passed.

This is never gonna stop till someone sues them in a federal court.What a bunch of ridiculous bullshit.If it were me id be in jail because i wouldve attacked the guy.Call one of your local news stations about this and see if you can put the ref's on blast.
And as far as emissions are concerned it shouldnt even matter whats on your car or not on your car.All that should matter is what is coming out of the tail pipes.But that would probably take an act of god.
