I dunno them ls1s got a nasty third gear and they pull like a motha, I'm just saying from personal experience from my stock notch aod.....but fudge it, I would always love to fuck around with them ls1s. If its for fun give it a shot and see where your car stands and go from there.

no it can't. unless the ls1 driver is the worst.. it you had a stick and good tires you could.. but with out a good jump, it ain't going to happen..and with you being a vert it only makes it harder..

My bone stock 1991 AOD convertible with 98K miles on it went 13.6@109 on street tires with 100hp nitrous works plate kit.
The only thing it had was a 190lph in tank pump and silencer removed.
That was through the paper filter, no short belt and on stock size 16 inch street tires.
That is right there with stock LS1 territory.

Srry ,it cant. My actual bro has a 6spd ws6, he takes off n jus keps on pulln, its not even funny. N yes im a good driver, i smoke other 50s that have more upgrades than i do. But i did smoke a auto ls1 from the dig cuz most ls1 that i kno get “wheel hop“ their not a problem off the line until 3rd for me. all i got is bbk headers, single chmbr flows, crankshaft pulley, fender cai, alum rad, bbk lowr springs, advance susp. Subframe connectors, and ive been told from other 50s that i run that i got gears, but i got two 50s n they feel the same.

keep in mind 350 vs 302, if, i was a chevy guy i'd honestly be ashamed 2 get by a 302 when i have a 350! U see they never compare the 350 to the 351 they know the deal

stock for stock no. raced my fox 5 speed mustang against my cousins vert ws6 auto. both cars completely stock except for my flowmaster cat-back.
got smoked pretty bad.

who knows drivetrain loss on a aod, cuz im pretty sure its lik 30_40hp loss, but for a 5spd its lik 20hp is that correct? Thnk im goanna get called a noob for this one:)

Damn in my old lx was stock with long tubes. Cold air. Short shifter with 100 shot and went 12.6 at 109. What a difference. Damn heavy convertible s. I love verts though

Yeah. Funny tho same mph even tho you had long tubes and CAI....hmmm and I was on street tires.
It was BONE stock i mean cats, mufflers tail pipes etc.
Verts have drag from the top and they are a bit heavier as well.
I also had another stock longblock stock intake, injectors etc. 89 hatch. T-5 It had long tubes and 4.10s with cold air intake and flows. It went 12.20s@114 on 26 inch tall slicks with a shortbelt.
Ill never forget the time I sprayed on Arvins white gt in it lol he was pissed...man that was 15 years ago....
