Surprised nobody has posted this on here yet. Here is the info on it. Amazing for such little mods to say the least. NOTHING is f##king with these cars right now in the price range IMO.
quote: Evolution Performance, Inc. - 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L 4V Automatic Runs 11.91 @ 117MPH With D.O.T. Street Tires!
Since NOT everyone is going to put Race Wheels/Slicks on the car......
We wanted to see what times could be achieved on D.O.T. Street Tires, which 80% of the people buying these cars will be using. That's why we purchased Two 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L 4V's. This one is geared more towards the Street/Strip group using 100% Street Components!
We spent a lot of time on the Automatic Transmission Calibration and it really shows in the Video.
Modification List - CNL Cold Air Intake System - Evolution Performance, Inc. True Custom 93 Octane Tune - American Racing 1 7/8 Longtube Headers with 3" Collector and Catted X-Pipe - Magnaflow Competition Series 3" Catback Exhaust System - Ford Racing 4.10 Gears - Steeda Ultralite Lowering Springs - Evolution Performance, Inc. Adjustable Panhard Bar The Rest of the Suspension is Stock!
We will be adding 15" Bogart Racing Wheels to the Front and Back of the car next week!
Read about this car in an upcoming issue of 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords Magazine!

IDK about you guys, but man these cars are amazing to me, & I want 1 BAD!!! I even went to check 1 out yesterday at Folsom Lake Ford, but I couldn't afford 1 at this time. I do plan on picking up 1 used a couple years down the road though. Kona Blue, black interior, 6 speed manual, Brembo package, 19" wheels, & 3.73's would be my dream package.... I used to feel the same way, but the more I see them, they more they grew on me. With 19" GT500 mesh wheels, GT500 spoiler & a killer stance, they look bad@$$ IMO...

Here is a killer example of a 2011. I think this car pretty much nailed the look I would go for, except I would go for the GT500 spoiler, & I love the Roush front fascia on this car, but I think it would look better with a V6 Grille that doesn't have the inner foglights. Although grabber blue is a nice color, I don't think I could own a car that color.

The new 5.0's are very impressive right out of the box, no doubt about that! This example from Evolution isn't very impressive though. We have the local guy, Billy from Vindicated out here running his 100% stock 2011 GT on stock tires, with an auto, already hitting 115 MPH in the 1/4.
So Evolution added all this extra stuff to only pick up 2 MPH from stock? The 11 second time slip from Elvolution is nice, but I'll bet that once Billy swaps out the stock rubber for something with more bite he'll be knocking on the door of 11's with just a tire swap!

the 2011 stangs are very impressive out of the box.. so much so for once in my life i'm thinking of a v6 swap in my 77 cobra 2.. if it can run 13.7's and get 31mpg in the pig body.. what will the little motor do in a car 1,000 pounds lighter!

If they get that lazy shift into 3rd straightened out that car will go 11.50s no matter what the mph

That would be a cool sleeper right their..... I'd make it a quiet as you could. In a few years those will be great junk yard motors.

The new 5.0 is just an all aluminum 4.6 block bored and stroked with an 11-1 compression ratio.. [ July 07, 2010, 11:12 AM: Message edited by: Yellow94GT ]

This is TOTALLY false info. The new blocks are completely redesigned, not just an old aluminum 4.6 block with a stroker kit. [ July 07, 2010, 11:14 AM: Message edited by: Yellow94GT ]

Lol.
Same 4.6 stroke, 3.543. It's just a 3.7 bore (big bore) vs the old 3.552, I believe, which gives all those valves room to breathe.
Completley different everything else. Hardly the same motor....
