I have an EOTech 556 on one with a surefire rail mounted light, I have Troy industries triduim flip up sights on the second, and I have mag pull flip ups on my third.
For my pistols, I have Trijicon night sights, and I have one Streamlight TLR2 rail mount light and laser.

Can I ask why so many people choose eotechs over other red-dot type scopes for cheaper? Is the illuminated reticle clearer or is the quality that much better. I've only looked through an eotech for about 1 minute and it was nice, but I don't know if they are worth the $400+ for a fixed focus scope?

do you wanna shoot 1 MOA or better at 100 yards? Then get a traditional style scope.
Do you want speed? Aimpoint or eotec with back up iron
If you want both.....check out jprifles acog ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

Yea that's what I was guessing pretty much. Now here's another question: Holographic vs red dot? And where do you shoot outdoors around the bay area on open land?

I've always used EOTech, to me it looks clearer, and good with the back up sights.

Eotech and folding sights. I don't think I would another Eotech, just don't use it much.
If money was no object I'd get an acog
