Maybe not the best, but the guitar players from the band Dragonforce are bad ass when it comes to shredding. As far as a technical player Michael Angelo blows my mind. Although the band Nitro sucked ass!!!

in all honesty Almost everyones opinion will very on who they feel is the greatest of all time. I think to be an all time great you have to do something revolutionary and ground breaking. You have to re invent your genre of music or do something that inspires other people to be like you. below are some of my all time favorites
