Topic: Just got home with my PS3

I decided to camp out for a PS3. We went down on tuesday to wal-mart to see how they were going to do the release I was told that there was a line around the side of the building. We went and looked and sure as shit there were 3 people waiting so we decided to jump in too. We waited from 3 PM on tuesday till midnight thursday camping out with 14 of us there by 10 PM the first night. They ended up with 10 systems total and 6 were the premium ones. A bunch of people came and were hanging out at around 10PM on thursday saying that we were crazy to wait so long but had to stand by as we left with our systems empty handed. The store even had several security people walk our group to the cars. I had a lot of fun just hanging out with a big group of people for 3 days and the management at wal-mart made sure that if we were there first we got the systems.... and yes, every system went to a person that got there early tuesday evening. SHOW OFF!! j/k I'll just wait till next release when it hits all the store shelves.
There was a EBGAMES close to my neighborhood that was robbed for the all the 360's and PS3. Now that's gangsta. They are for sure going to make a killing on selling the units.

They had a large covered area on the side so they put us there. I had a chair, matress pad and a blanket. We decided to sit there because its 24 hour so we get it at midnight and a full service store with bathrooms. The units are all scanned in and so they know by serial number which ones were stolen and anyone that buys a system without a receipt is taking a chance. In order to download updates, add ons for your games and patches you need to connect to the server. If you try to connect to the server with a stolen PS your screwed. You also cant sell on ebay without putting in the serial number. One guy that was in line with us worked at Best Buy and couldnt get one there, another guy had a presell that he got in Feb at gamestop. He was fifth on the list and when he called they said they only got one system so he was fucked untill the next shippment in 07.

My crackhead came thru (paid him to wait), picking mine up when I get off work. Probably wont play it for a bit tho. Still paying Gears and gonna start Call of Duty 3. Then getting a Wii on Sunday.
You hella savage for camping out tho. I dont think I can pull myself to do that.

A Best Buy in Boston, aware it had only 140 of the consoles, got smart about the big sale — its employees gave out tickets to the first 140 people in line so everyone could go home until the store opened.
Stupid that you had to stand in line. They give out wrist bands at concerts.

A lot of these bidders are dead beat bidders. People that scam, or just to fool around. If you look at the high bidders, some of them are the same on other auctions with crazy pricing. This was the same problem with the XBOX360 when it first came out. It was hard to weed out the real bidders.
