Get a T5 then start the real modding. Theres no compairison, a T5 5.0 feels like a completely different car from the AOD. Take it from someone whos had an shift kited auto 5.0 w/ a stall converter and all that other AOD jazz. I learned to drive stick and ended up converting to a T5. Lets just say, I'd never go back but I'm not a HP fiend either so my goal isn't to get in the 11's or 10's. T5 FTW

i always hear about those problems but im running underdrive pullys with all my acc. and subs and never once has my battery died and car stays good temp with a stock water pump and 195 themorstat.. might be different motors but ive never ran into these problems...

without a 3g alternator, and a better radiator and cooling fan setup, those underdrive pullies just make everything work less than they need to.
fine for a drag car or weekend beater that is never driven long distances and sits on a trickle charger during the week...but not a daily
