It would be hard to find a clean Saleen FOX so I would steer a some one into a nice 1999+ mustang as those cars are a million times better in every way than a FOX mustang.
Good luck finding a foxbody saleen for 5K, lol.
If you want a nice Mustang, for sure it will cost more than 5K.

Oh Yeah, LX 5.0
I'll take a fully restored CHP 5.0 mustang to add to my collection.

Why are the New Edges better than a Fox?
A new edge 1999+ mustang is better than a FOX mustang in every way:
Stiffer chassis. Nicer interior. More power. better brakes. better handling.
The FOX convertibles are horrible. Every FOX vert I ever drove felt so loose and made so creak and rattle noises that I thought the car was going to split in two. FOX convertibles are definatly tin cans on wheels. The 1994 convertible mustangs feel very solid and the 1999 Mustang convertibles are even better. The 1994 Mustang convertibles even have a nice headliner on them while the FOX convertibles do not.
New Edges were built on the same chassis as a Fox. It is easier to make power with a pushrod 302 than it is with a 2V modular. No one said anything about a convertible. I'd hope a 6+ year old car would stop and handle better.

I like them (looks, comfort, power) but wouldn't recommend them. Can't speak to everyone else's experiences but my 91GT (all stock) handled like crap and would break loose going around turns or any puddle on the ground too easy. I almost killed myself a few times in that car and was happy to see it go. Still a fun car as a weekend toy but not for me as a daily driver. [ 2013-07-23, 01:12 PM: Message edited by: Secnd2nun64 ]

I had a 86 GT before I got my 95 GTS and its a world of difference when it comes to comfortable and better ride quality it's better, sure it's little slower but that's why they make bolt ons, and gears will really increase the get up and go aspect of it.

and I don't know why there's so much convertable talk.I don't want a damn vert..AT ALL.

Coyote FTMFW! To find a nice clean fox is expensive not to mention how quick a car can become a money pit and even with lowjack you still run the risk of it disappearing the hell with that!

Can you guys please stop the pissing match
sneaky- and all the others not arguing, it seems like ppl either love thier fox or they hate them,I'm thinking the 94-04 is just quite a bit more expensive than a lil fox.
I'd like to get a vote of 87-93 against 94-95

If you get a fox, I make a fox very comfortable to drive everyday depending on your budget, but you do have to worry about them getting stolen, 94-95 are cheaper, slower and you don't have worry about them getting stolen as much but you still have to upgrade the suspension.

New edge Mustangs are not built off of FOX body chassis. In 1994, Ford extensivly revised the FOX chassis. Here is a photo of the heavily revised mustang chassis.
In the photo, the 1994 chassis is painted different colors to show the changes Ford made with SN95 Mustang;
White: essentially carryover from 1993 RED: all new design Blue; modified carryover Yellow: convertible only.
One example of the huge difference between the 1994 and later cars VS the FOX bodies is the front wheel wel area that is painted blue on the 1994 chassis. the FOX body cars, that are was made up of three pieces while on the 1994 and later cars, it's a much stronger one piece design. There are many more improvements that Ford made including increasing the thickness of the metal on the 1994 and later cars. I could go on listing the big chassis differences between the FOX body and SN95 cars, but I think I have proven my point that the SN95 chassis is a essentially a new design and a million times better than the FOX chassis.

94-95 are uglier, slower, but cheaper than 87-93, why are they cheaper because more people like 87-93 better.
