Just curious if you have to have some sort of paid monthly subscription or you just buy the deck and its already in there. Thanks in advance.

Yes sir,
Here's how it works via Kenwood's website so i dont have to explain it:
Pandora Connectivity - Install the Pandora App for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry smartphones and enjoy a personalized listening experience.
A number of Pandora functions can be controlled from a Pandora-enabled Kenwood receiver when an iPhone is connected through USB. For Android and BlackBerry smartphones, controls are done via Bluetooth A2DP. Functions include Thumbs up & down, Bookmark Artist, Bookmark Song, A to Z search and Alphabetical channel search. Pandora allows users to maximize the internet radio experience in your car by customizing all of your favourite artists for a rich musical experience.
Pandora application requires a data connection on your smartphone with service currently only available in the U.S.

By the way, if anybody is curious, this install was in a 67 mustang. I also have pictures of speaker kick panels, and polk audio speakers fitted to them.

Thanks for the help guys, Its what I was thinking. It uses your phone to get the pandora signal and then it allows you to control the pandora from the deck.was kind of hoping it would have some sort of xm radio type antenna. [ September 27, 2012, 12:59 PM: Message edited by: v-town coupe ]

Well I already posted up the deck.
Here's the speakers and kick panels:
I only put front 6x5.5s in for now. but I'll be getting 6x9s in shortly. I dont plan on doing a subwoofer or amp. but plans can change. For now, Its getting a T5 conversion. because this happened:

T-5 will be the greatest thing you do to that car. O.D. in general just makes older cars waay more enjoyable!
Thanks for pics, I'm not quite there yet but in the back of my head I've been thinking about how Im going to do the stereo in my 67. on the rear shelf there is a rectangle hole between where the 6x9's go, Ive been thinking of looking for a small square sub and mounting it there and building like a little fiberglass box with a port to put underneath it so my trunk space isnt killed by too much stereo.
I dont listen to my music the way I used to!LOL
Check out MP products the do all kinds of custom plastic work for the old stuff (pillar gauge pods, rear shelf kits, kick panels, rear seat deletes , trap door stuff for FB's etc.)

Yeah. i've had problems with my c4 since i bought the car.
My car currently has some really old kenwood 6x9s already in it. but they're blown, sun faded/cracked and dont work. I plan to replace those with polk 6x9s. I got a KILLER deal on the deck and two speakers on labor day at frys. I'll be going back to get teh 6x9s eventually.
I think the 5 speakers ( 1 in the dash ) will be plenty in the coupe.
Being that im focused on my T5 swap. i also need to fix a cracked shock tower. which i bought Open Trackers new tower reinforcement kit. gonna weld/fix the crack and then weld the reinforcement kit on. should be bullet proof after that!

Pandora's gay, too many commercials and you cant choose which songs play. I use spotify which is like 10 bucks a month and you can play pretty much anything that is out whenever you want.
I also have an iPhone with itunes match which matches up all the songs you downloaded legally and illegally to cloud for you to play on all your apple devices.
My headunit is some pioneer but it has blue tooth playability so anything thats on my phone can be played wirelessly to my stereo. No more cds or stupid cords going to your radio.
Most of the new stuff has the bluetooth compatability, that is what you really want. THen you can play pandora or whatever is on your phone.

almost all of the top end decks nowadays have bluetooth. Basically if you have it connected to the radio you can answer calls and they'll come through the stereo speakers and put your song on pause. its a neat little feat.

plug your phone into the deck and it'll automatically pick it up when you receive a call or make a call.

I just use a car phone charger from Walmart($20) which allows me to listen to pandora from my iPhone by just putting it on a certain station. Works like a charm

This receiver, cheap receiver but it has the bluetooth. Basically you setup bluetooth on your phone, pair it up and then everytime you come close to the stereo with your phone it automatically starts playing where you left off.
No plugging in nothing.
nice! i have the appradio2 and it does not support bluetooth audio streaming
