I was just wondering what the odds of me losing my license are.. I have court on tuesday for two things.. Transporting passengers with provisional license.(just got it). And also using a center turn lane for passing. It was my speed marked down as 45 mph in a 30 but its not checked as a violation.

I do plan to go well dressed. And I only had my friend in my car cause he was sick and I picked him up down the road from his house in the rain and drove him the rest the way home. There were NO intersections or anyting between where I picked him up and where I dropped him off. So what do you think will happen, and if I do lose my license, how long do you think it will be for?

I was speeding(even though it wasent marked as a violation, but still noted) and the reason I had somone in my car seems good.

Probably won't take it away.
If you have nothing else in your driving history.

I think you will lose it for a bit, few months. Speeding, someone in the car when you knew you weren't supposed to, they were not dying or in danger of dying, very unsafe lane change.
Goodluck

I had plenty of tickets/suspensions in my first 3 years of driving. No tickets now for 2 years. I know how they work for the most part.

Speeding is not marked as a violation though, and under the circumstances it wasent to dangerous.. There was very little traffic. The only car that was there was the cop car that I passed.

It was never written in the area for violations, on part of the citaion it just asks for approx speed and speed limit. Also, since there was no radar, is there any way I could argue that part?

Unfortunately Brandon is dead on correct
You will lose your license. You really need to step up and take responsibility for what you did. You did an extremely unsafe thing in the rain. You passed a cop, c'mon man. Step up.
No, it was for a good reason, it was a safe unsafe lane change/pass, i was ONLY going 15mph over the speed limit ETC........

It's really up to how well you play your story and if the judge got laid the night prior.
Just keep a good attitude.

Also, how does it work when you lose your license. Do you hand it over right there, or do you get a starting date for when you cant drive? And how do you get it back, is it just valid after the time period or do I have to go back to the court house or the Dmv?

I'd guess a little while man. Please step up and be safe. Don't speed, drive with others in your car you know shouldn't, make STUPID passes, lane changes, ETC. Learn from mine and Brandon's "STUPID" fucking mistakes. The fun you "think" it is will only cost you a LOT of money in fines, insurance, AND CAN VERY WELL HURT OR KILL SOMEONE when you never have the intention of doing that.
Be safe, and enjoy your car
