MMTA-1 is the Standard T/A for rectangle subs. The MMTA-5 is the same torque arm, but it switches the crossmember to the Racing crossmember. Which in Maximum exact words...
"Our Racing Crossmember - What is it? We developed the Racing Crossmember for racers who frequently remove their exhaust systems. For those who remove their exhaust as frequently as even once per year, the improved access to the H-Pipe's exhaust flanges is well worth the additional effort during the initial installation of the Torque-arm. The Racing Crossmember requires moving the exhaust flanges rearwards several inches-exactly the same as with the Heavy Duty Torque-arm crossmember. Even though the Racing Crossmember is more rigid than the Standard Crossmember, it is designed for use only with the MM Standard Torque-arm."
Does that help?
