Originally posted by Frank.JD.Perez: [QB] hey guys im planning on autocrossing my gt and im looking into what type of role cage to get. ive been searching on Mustangs Unlimited and found a roll cage i want to get, but im not sure if i should get the one for "over 3500lbs" or "under 3500lbs". ive researched around and the stock weight for a sn95 gt is roughly 3500. i do plan on stripping the car down some, but still use it as my DD, what should i do? heres the link for the roll cages, (4 point mustang coupe 94/04) http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/SubCat.asp?keywords=LMC27&pageno=2&CatKey=74-01&sortby=&pcid=&Category=Body&subCategory=Roll+Bars%2FRoll+Cages&grid=N [/QB]
In my old 98 cobra I had the Maximum Motorsports 4-pt roll bar with welded diagonal cross bar and detachable harness bar. I liked it!

If your just going to autocross skip the cage and buy a second set of tires and wheels.
