Hey folks i have a 90 lx thats feels as like the power steering is gone. There are no leaks what so ever or the noise you hear when your running out of power steering fluid. I also have abot 2 inches of slack.At this point i have no clue of what it can be. Power sterinng pump ? Rack ? Colum ? also car was in a front end colision.

pop the lines off the rack and see if fluid spurts out (use a bucket) when you start the engine.
that will eliminate the pump as the problem.

i haven't had a chance to look @ it, but someone else mentioned it can be my steering rack.It can be a bent line or seized rack. Ill check it out tomorrow after work.
