I registered my new coupe into my name a couple months ago. Got it smogged to transfer ownership. It failed 2x before passing the 3rd. First fail was bad cat. Second one failed i think nox by .o1. 3rd time was a charm. When i transfered ownership into my name i asked the DMV clerk if i would have to smog it again in a couple months when the registration was due and she said no. Just got the registration in the mail and it says i need to take it to a smog only station. Was the clerk wrong or did my past fails make me need another smog to register it this time?

I thought if you smog it, it lasts for six months. Maybe go to the dmv with your old smog papers and show them that it was within six months. I could be wrong though.
