Is a strut tower brace just a marginal addition to making a car more rigid? Are those strut towers really moving or shifting around, especially on a car that is not heavily modded?

Big thing that helps is subframe connectors that also have torque box reinforcments. Those, like they said a good K-member brace, then a front shock tower brace that attaches to the firewall too, will help solidify the car alot.

I put a Mier racing strut tower brace on my 87 GT years ago and I could not really notice a diffrence. The one thing that does stand out with a strut tower brace is how much of a pain in the ass it is to pull the intake and heads with fucking strut tower brace in the way. It's interesting to note that ford stopped putting strut tower braces on 98 and later Mustangs. Saleen has also left off the strut brace from thier cars in recent years. I don't plan on putting a strut tower brace on my 01 Cobra unless some one points a gun to my head.
