will a cheap one from autozone do the job or should i buy a quality one like craftsmen from sears? i would like it to last and be accurate.

It depends on what you want to spend really. The best ones out there would be from Snap On or Mac Tools followed by Matco and than Craftsman. Personally I only buy Craftsman because while they are not of the same quality as Mac or Snap On they have the same lifetime warranty so if it breaks it's as simple as walking into sears or orchard hardware and swapping it out for a new one. Half the price also. Not sure what the warranty is for timing lights because electronics are not covered like tools are. If you are just using this for your own car and maybe here and there I think the Craftsman will work fine for you. I'd only go for the Mac or Snap On if this is being used heavily in a shop setting

i agree, i too use craftsman and all my craftsman tools work flawlessly! much easier to replace craftsman also, just walk into sears.
