anyone ever see or hear of a motor have perfect oil pressure and at a stoplight when the car leaves the line oil pressure will drop for a sec and shoot back to normal and be like that until another stoplight and be normal again and repeats this process once in a while

Yup, but this typically only happens if the oil level is low, with the oil flowing away from the oil pump pickup for a moment. How much of a drop are you seeing?

alot.i have the stupid stock gauges for now,but i will be changing the oil tommarrow and i have to resize my dipsticl on the car cuz its not reading accurate with the new 7 qaurt pan on it

Sounds like you might be cavitating the pickup. Did you measure for clearance when you installed it? If it's too close to the pan you can run into trouble

You did use the correct oil pump pickup for the 7 qt pan...right?

yes,it is the ford motorsport high volume oil pump and the 7 qaurt canton oil pan.the motor was put togther as a long block with pan on it.i did the rest of the install.tomarrow ill get under the car and check things out and also drain the oil just to make sure.the new motor has about 1200 miles on it so far and this is the first that i noticed this prob.

i changed the oil and i was about a quart low and the oil sending unit plug wasnt on all the way. i drove it and it works fine
