My buddy is having trouble with his car. First off i want to say this did not happen until he ran out of gas, not the car feels like its running on 7 cyclinders. His car is starting to smoke "whitish" like 3 minutes after its started. He took the car to a mechanic and he said 99% its not a blown head gasket. The mechanic said he was stumped and didnt know. Where would you start?

First...find a different mechanic. That has all the signs of a blown HG.
