Speedworx has one for about $3500. Does anyone know where I can get one cheaper? This is more of a daily driver than anything else, so I don't really need the monster power of the Vortech or the Paxton, but I want the kick there when I need it. So if someone knows where I can grab one for less than $3500, please let me know.

Vortech's cost as much as that Saleen. Why not pay the same and have the power when you need it? Daily driver yeah, so don't push it hella hard everywhere.

Yeah, but if I get the Vortech, it will have to be the Vortech with the aftercooler, so it will cost a bit more. I am still fighting that battle in my head. I'll just have to see which one wins come May/June.

Why would it have to be with the aftercooler?
I wouldn't even consider the Saleen blower over the Vortech.

First off, how old are you? Can you resist more power, more boost? The Saleen kit is cool cause you get an intercooler with it. You will not make more than 375 hp, and will not dip into the 11;s, but your motor will last a ittle longer versus the vortech. The vortech kit is great, as long as you leave it alone. You can pick one used on ebay for 2,000. But you will want more power. Rebuilds now days are around $7,000 and go up. Both kits are great. Its a matter of preference.

This is my daily driver and I am not too worried about dipping into the 11s. That is the only reason I was considering the Saleen for longevity reasons. At stock boost though, I know the Vortechs are reliable as well.

Both are graet blowers. The vortech makes a little whine, and the saleen is pretty much silent. Its all personal prefence. Let us know what you do.

Jok3R, Most everyone here is Pro Vortech. If you like the roots supercharger get it. I have it on my car and I'm pretty happy with it. Expecially for a daily driver. Later if you want a little more power just get a smaller pulley. Doesn't sound like your into track racing all that much so Roots would be a good way to go.
