[/qb]
If its a 99, its a 7.3. The question to ask is what is the build date. I belive there is a early 99, and a 99.5. the 99.5 has a few upgrades over the early 99. [/qb]
I didnt think they went to the 6.0 until 2000 or 2001 [/qb]
The 7.3L was in the 99 through late 2003. In late 2003 Ford switched to the POS 6.0L which was complete junk from 2003 through 2004. In 2005 Ford began to revamp the 6.0L and finally started to get it running a little better overall. In 2007 Ford will introduce the all new 6.4L twin turbo. We'll see about that one. The best year's of the Powerstroke were 2001 through late 2003. The early 99's were still pretty solid but had occassional lift pump issues. For the price you are asking advertise it on Craigslist bro. That's not a bad price at all. You should no trouble selling at all. Pics would help out a ton though. 160K on any diesel isn't high mileage at all. It's fairly average to see 350K+ on a 7.3L Powerstroke. [/QB]
