asking because my buddys got a c5 ls1 with some boltons and he does 113-114mph at sears point on street 285 tires and that thing is as fun as hell
right now i got a trickflow hci with all the supporting mods and a 3.73 gear with 245 street tires right now im just pulling a 13.6 at 101mph but that was a couple months ago before i got some things worked out with my timing and fuel pump cutting out i figure im at 13.0-3 ish righ now
one thing i dont want to change is my tfs 170 tw heads but everything else like intake and cams i dont mind changing
i think i might half to go to 347 or 351 to get to 115mph [ July 27, 2012, 12:45 AM: Message edited by: dean-93 ]

If you are only doing 101mph then you need 150 more horsepower. That means you need a blower or nitrous. Just making it a 347 with the same heads and intake would maybe get you 50hp.

Definitions of street trim vary, what is your idea of street trim? you will read all over the internet about HCI cars trapping as high as 115-118mph but a lot of the setups are light weight, good compression, and some healthy cams. Another thing to consider is if these numbers are at NHRA drag raced tracks. Take sac for example, people were trapping 3-5mph faster before the changes. You know their is more tracks out there that have or had similar issues. In reality it can be done, but it is a stout 302 setup for sure.

I trapped 114 with my stock longblock from throttle body to oil pan with the exception of long tubes with some 26 inch slicks, 4.10s and nitrous works 13005 adjustable plate kit.
Drove to Alabama, raced all weekend and drove back.
