I barely noticed this morning that my DD was hit . My passenger rear door is all smashed it with scratches. I believe someone reversed into my car. I don't know exactly where or when it happened. I washed my car saturday, I know it wasn't damaged. It was parked all day sunday. Yesterday, I only went to work, supermarket and school.Should I go to my police department? do I need a police report? What should I do? thanks in advance.

Most likely happened at super market. File police report for hit and run maybe see if you can see the tapes to the parking lot at the time you were there. That's all I could think to do

I also had an incident a while back where my truck was hit in a parking lot. Came out to a nice dent on the passenger side. Been debating on filing a claim.

file a police report, do like the above stated, but you will probably have better luck just going through your insurance, tell them what happened, pay your deductible and have it repaired. Meanwhile if the culprit is found, your insurance will go after that person for costs and eventually reinburse your out of pocket expenses (deductible etc.)

I called the supermarket and they reviewed the tape. My car didn't come out in the video. Their camera is pointed towards the other end of the parking lot. Do I drive the car to the police station?
